Code of the Cryptids is an online flash game based off the Cartoon Network series The Secret Saturdays. It was released on August 18, 2008[1][2] (a few weeks before the series premiered on October 3rd) as a form of promotion for the then-upcoming series.
When you complete it you get a wallpaper that has the Saturdays, Owlman, Honey Island Swamp Monster , Biloko , Duah (Ropen) Bishopville Lizardman , Chupacabra , Cherufe.
The game consists of three different areas (The Vale of Secrets, the Jungle of No Return, and the Shadow of the Thunder Temple) with each area consisting of five regular levels followed by a boss fight (Van Rook, Munya, and Argost).
Excluding the boss fights, each level contains 4 artifacts for a grand total of 60 artifacts throughout the game's 15 non-boss fight levels. However, it will be required on many occasions to return to certain levels sometime after completing them in order to obtain certain artifacts as acquiring said artifacts will necessitate an ability that Zak does not obtain until later in the game.
The abilities that Zak starts out with in the game are:
- Z+X=jump attack
- Z=jump
- X=attack
You also have to attack: The Popobawa, Flashlight Frog, Cryptid Plants, Munya, V.V. Argost, Van Rook and Olgoi khorckhoi.
Trivia
- They're also unidentified snake cryptids that can easily be defeated by blocks if they get crushed or run into it.
